One of the rare times I will defend the catholic church, but here it goes

Note: I don't hate catholics at all. I just disagree with many church interpretations on current issues (i.e. condoms). Abortion is another exception. that is all i am saying

There is a movie coming out possibly in 2007 called Danielle. It was formally called "the beast". It essentially say JC never existed. I don't mind a movie that suggests Jesus is not god, nor did I really care about the DaVinci code, b/c it was just a fun book. But the inaccuracies of this movie are tremendous. Hopefully, Carroll will be able to tell me all the fin sources that legitimately sight jesus. I know 3 groups:
1) Bible writings
2) Apocryphal writings
3)Dead Sea scrolls

Holy lies, Batman

I was reading a catholic magazine called Crisis, about the church and its issues. The cover article claimed about how condoms don't work. Among its notable statistics:

1) In Botswana, condom sales rose from 1 to 7 million between 19993 and 2001. Meanwhile, HIV prevalence rose among urban pregnant women from 27% to 45%.

As we all know, pregnant woman have no bodily fluids in them...., oh wait, they do. That'show they got pregnant. Also, they evidently were reaching, looking only at urban pregnant women.

2) Only scientists cited were family scientists, an anthropologist (who studies human remains), and a person who's credits also seem oddly christian. (Texas, sexual health, family)

3) Continuously, the article mkes the assumption that people only have sex once a year. For some reason, I doubt this.

4) They say that homosexual sex affects the rest of society. Unless these people are bisexual, which would be an incorrect classification for them, they only have sex with other gays, and therefore have no effect on society.

5) One seemingly desperate attempt at credibility: "in the ? issue of the prestigous british medical journal the lancet, more than 150 of the world's leading AIDS experts.... it goes on

6) Condom effectiveness is listed at 85%, but later said this number does not include perfect use. In fact, this number both assumes perfect and multiple use. Some claim even higher, such as planned parenthood, but this number came up the most in my looking at 15 or so pages.
